I loved the kiddy corral! my mom used to drop my brother and I off while she shopped and then we'd head over to the bakery where I would get a cup cake with pastel frosting!

Does anyone remember McPhee's Junior bootery? We would get all our shoes there. Sun-glo sandals in either red or blue. while you were waiting there was a play house with stuffed monkeys (toys) on the roof. Or you could ride a toy horse!

I also remember the pork bow at Center and Shattuck for .50 while waiting to catch the bus home.

What schools did you attend? I think I attended most of the public schools (Oxford, Whittier, Longfellow) while my parents tried to find the perfect one and eventually sent us to private schools in Oakland.
